Overview of bioinformatics curriculum

Mainly the curriculum of bioinformatics is based on computer science,Mathematics and biology.
Major subjects to study on undergraduate level are....
Basic Mathematics
This course is designed for those students who lack the basic maths skills and make them able to learn advance mathematics subjects.
Intro to Computers
Mostly students of premedical apply for the bioinformatics.Being students of premedical they are not aware of basic computer concepts. The basic aim of this subject is to give them basic knowledge of computers, their components and impact on the society.
Cell Biology
An introduction to the cellular function and processes occurring in living organisms.
Introduction to computer programming
Introduction to the programming problems using c++ or c as a programming language.
Calculus -I
Functions, graphs, partial differentiation , even odd functions and other maths problems.
Principles of Biochemistry I and Principles of Biochemistry II
Comprehensive study of bio molecules ,their structure and functions. Studying various life processes occurring in the living organisms and their detailed explanation of cycles.
Fundamentals of Genetics
study and introduction to genetics, heredity concepts, Variations ,chromosome theory and different laws related to hereditary.
Molecular Biology
Basic concepts about DNA,RNA, transcription, translation, translation and post translational modifications. This course is designed to learn about the biological molecules.
Data structures
Introduction to data structures, concepts of pointers, arrays, linked lists and search algorithm using C++ language.
Introduction to bioinformatics
Giving the idea of bioinformatics, students will learn about the idea of using computers to solve the basic biological problems. Students are just given introduction to perl and python that are programming languages used mostly in bioinformatics. Apart from that students are made aware of basic tools and algorithms of bioinformatics.
Object oriented programming
Giving the concept of object oriented programming(classes) mostly in JAVA programming language.
LINUX for biological sciences
Having basic knowledge of LINUX operating systems is necessary for the bioinformaticians. This course is designed to make students aware of LINUX operating system.
Discrete Mathematics
This course is designed to make students able to learn problems related to circuits, logic gates, number theory, mathematical induction and many more.
Microbiology and Immunology
Introduction to microbes ,their impact on the society and various immune functions and systems in living organisms.
Bioinformatics Database Development
This course is designed to give deep knowledge of database development using SQL and C sharp programming languages.
Developmental biology
This course is developed to give the knowledge of embryonic development in living organisms.
Bioinformatics Analysis
